Lobbying: Migration
SONIA is a member of the confederation of development and emergency-response NGOs in Europe and Italy called Concord and is member of its Italian Working Group on Migration and Development. SONIA’s contribution to this Group has been providing inputs for documents aimed at improving the rights of migrants in Europe. More specifically, SONIA assisted with the adaptation, translation and diffusion of the Concorde publication on Deconstructing Myths about Migration and Development, advocating a holistic approach to migration and preparing a critique of the externalization policy adopted by Europe and Italy.
